Contributions & Achievements
When Ghulam Rasool became Union Nazim in 2000, he started many development projects in the village. He improved the village streets by fixing levels and adding bricks. He also rebuilt the village's drainage (sewerage) system, which was in very poor condition. Almost 40% of the sewerage and 20% of brick streets were completed under his leadership. Mr. Saeed Iqbal (Late) helped him a lot in managing and supervising this work.
Ghulam Rasool also made big improvements in the village’s electricity system. He arranged for the installation of new electricity poles and upgraded old ones. New transformers were also added to provide stable electricity to the whole village. Mr. Abdul Sattar, Mr. Muhammad Akram (from WAPDA), Mian Shehbaz, and Saeed Iqbal S/O Abdul Ghani supported him in this.
When the headmaster of Government High School, Mr. Abdul Sattar, warned that the school might lose its high school status without a proper boundary wall, Ghulam Rasool built it and saved the school.
He also helped change a planned underpass into a flyover on the motorway, making travel safer for villagers. Additionally, he renovated the Union Council office with new furniture. Ghulam Rasool never sought fame but made a big impact in a short time.
