Biography

Muhammad Bashir Azhar was born in the village of Ghartal in 1947. He was a bright student from a young age. He completed his primary, middle, and matric education from the local school with good marks. After school, he got admission in FSc Pre-Engineering at Government College Faisalabad. It was very difficult for him because he had to travel a long way every day. He would ride a bicycle to Sainwala train station and then take an early morning train to Faisalabad. But he worked hard because he wanted to change his family’s future through education.

In 1970, he got admission to the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore. He studied there and became a Chemical Engineer in 1974. After completing his studies, he started his career at National Fertilizer Corporation in 1976. Later, in 1990, he joined Fauji Fertilizer Company and worked there until he retired in 2010.

After retirement, he moved to Lahore but never forgot his village. He continued to visit Ghartal regularly and always stayed connected with his roots. He is respected for his hard work, honesty, and service to his people.

Contributions & Achievements

Muhammad Bashir Azhar always loved his village, Ghartal. Even after he settled in Lahore after retirement, he often visited the village. He believed in helping others and giving back to the community that helped him grow.

One of his biggest contributions was opening a free medical dispensary in his ancestral home in Ghartal. Many villagers could not afford good medical care, so he wanted to help them. With the support of Dr. Abbas, the dispensary gave free medical advice and medicine to poor and needy people. This small clinic helped many families who otherwise had no access to healthcare.

He also encouraged young students in the village to focus on education. He would often talk to them and share his life story to inspire them. He believed that education could change lives, just like it changed his.

Muhammad Bashir Azhar is remembered in Ghartal as a kind and caring person. His work for the village, especially the medical dispensary, made a big difference in people’s lives. He showed that even after success, one should never forget their roots.
