Biography

Abdul Sattar, son of Muhammad Ali, was born on October 1, 1963, in the village of Ghartal Kalan. He received his early education from 144 RB School and later completed his matriculation from Government High School Salarwala. In 1983, he started his professional career by joining WAPDA as an Assistant Line Man, with his first posting in Sargodha. Later, in 1995, he was transferred to the Chak Jhumra Division.

From the beginning of his career, Abdul Sattar was known as a hardworking, honest, and kind-hearted man. He always treated his duty as a form of service, not just a job. During the later years of his service, he was assigned to bill recovery work, but his compassion always showed through. Whenever he found a poor or struggling person unable to pay their electricity bill, he would quietly pay it from his own pocket without expecting anything in return. This generosity made him deeply respected among his colleagues and the community alike.

Contributions & Achievements

Abdul Sattar was not only sincere in his job but also dedicated to helping his fellow villagers. Whenever people in Ghartal Kalan faced issues related to electricity or other technical matters, he was always available to guide and assist them. He never hesitated to use his experience and skills for the betterment of others. His gentle nature and willingness to help made him a beloved figure in the village.

He always believed that small acts of kindness can bring great comfort to others, and he lived his life by this principle. The people of Ghartal Kalan still remember him with great respect and affection, proudly saying that “Abdul Sattar was a true helper of the people.”

Sadly, Abdul Sattar passed away on April 11, 2011, at the age of only 47. His early departure left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him. His life remains a shining example of honesty, service, and compassion, and his memory continues to inspire everyone in the village.
