Dr. Safdar Ali was one of the most sincere, kind-hearted, and dedicated people of Ghartal Kalan. He was born in 1943 and passed away in 2009. He received his early education from Government High School Salarwala. He was the first doctor in Ghartal Kalan, though not an MBBS, but a skilled private medical practitioner who treated people with great care and dedication.

Dr. Safdar Ali was known for his compassion and generosity. He always helped the poor and deserving, often providing free medicines to those who could not afford them. The people of the village still remember how he spent his days and nights serving patients with love and patience. His clinic was not only a place for treatment but also a place where people found kindness, hope, and encouragement.

Contributions & Achievements

Besides being a doctor, Dr. Safdar Ali was deeply involved in the social, political, and welfare activities of his village. He took a leading role in every community project. One of his most remarkable contributions was starting the construction of the village’s funeral ground (Janazgah). He would even close his clinic to personally supervise the work there. His spirit of service and sacrifice is still remembered by everyone.

He also served as the chairman of the Zakat Committee and ensured that financial help reached the right and deserving people with honesty. Because of his trustworthy nature, many villagers used to keep their valuables and savings in his care. This showed how much people respected and believed in his integrity.

Dr. Safdar Ali was also an active member of the management committee of the village’s main mosque. He played a vital role in maintaining discipline and unity among the community. His vision was always focused on the betterment, harmony, and progress of Ghartal Kalan.
