Biography

Professor Abdul Waheed, son of Muhammad Shafi Nambardar, was born in a small village in Pakistan. He believes that life is a continuous struggle, and only those who work hard succeed. From his early days, he was known for his dedication and hard work. He completed his primary education at the village school and then studied at Government High School Salarwala until matriculation. For higher studies, he attended Government Degree College Dhobighat, which is now called GC University. He later completed his B.Ed. from Government College Samanabad and earned a Master's degree in Urdu from NUST Division. On 2nd February 1983, he began his career as a lecturer at Government Degree College Jaranwala. While teaching, he also completed his M.Phil. from Allama Iqbal Open University. Apart from academics, he was also a talented sportsman. In 1981, he was awarded Best Athlete of Punjab University and was selected for Pakistan's international athletes team. He also became one of the top Kabaddi players in the region. After a long and successful career, Professor Abdul Waheed retired as an Associate Professor in February 2018. His journey is an inspiration for many young people, especially those from rural areas.

Contributions & Achievements

After his retirement in 2018, Professor Abdul Waheed focused more on serving his community. He started working actively to promote education, culture, and religion in the village. One of his major contributions was leading and administrating the Madrasa Hafzul Quran, helping many children learn and memorize the Holy Quran. He also organized and participated in educational programs to inspire the youth to pursue higher education, just as he did. His presence motivated many families to send their children to schools and colleges. Besides education, he arranged cultural and religious gatherings, bringing the community closer and keeping traditional values alive.
