Waqas Zafar began his professional career in 2016 as an SHO in various police stations in Lahore, the capital city of Punjab. He served in this role until 2019, gaining valuable experience in law enforcement and public safety. After that, he was appointed as the Acting DSP in the LDA Incharge Enforcement Team, a position he held until July 2023. His role as Acting DSP strengthened his expertise in urban management and enforcement policies. In July 2023, he was selected as the Assistant Director of Enforcement at the Ravi Urban Development Authority. His leadership in this role ensured the effective implementation of urban regulations and enforcement measures. Since October 2024, he has been serving as the Deputy Director of Monitoring at the Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering Department, Government of Punjab. His work focuses on overseeing major public sector projects and ensuring compliance with development regulations.
