Along with this, he also ran an international educational institute to help overseas students gain quality education at affordable costs. Even today, he continues to run his company and supports employment in both the UK and Pakistan. Despite living abroad, his heart remains close to his village. Hafiz Ghulam Qadar Sahab was born in 1926 in Ghartal Kalan. He was the son of Allah Daad and grew up in a religious environment. From childhood, he was deeply attached to Islam and Islamic studies. He regularly attended Madrasa classes, where he developed a deep understanding of the Quran and Hadith. His love for knowledge and devotion to his faith shaped him into a wise and humble scholar. He always carried a calm and polite nature, earning the respect of everyone around him. He believed in spreading knowledge through wisdom and never engaged in arguments with people of different fiqahs or maslaks. His dedication to Islam was evident in his daily life and interactions. His kind heart and vast knowledge made him a guiding light for many in his community. He lived a life of simplicity, humility, and devotion to his faith.

Salman Abdul Waheed

Born in 1987 in the peaceful village of Ghartal Kalan, Mr. Salman Waheed is an inspiring example of how determination, faith, and continuous effort can change one’s life. Coming from a simple lower-middle-class family, his journey was never easy, but his strong belief in Allah and his dedication helped him overcome every challenge he faced. Salman’s father, Mr. Abdul Waheed, was a respected and kind man in the community. His calm nature and responsible attitude left a deep mark on Salman’s personality. These values became the foundation of Salman’s character, humble, hardworking, and focused on helping others. During his early childhood, Salman’s family moved to Gujranwala, where he began his education at Sir Joseph Sons Primary School. Later, they returned to their home village, and he completed his matriculation in 2003 from Government High School Ghartal Kalan 144RB. He continued his studies by completing intermediate from Government Islamia College, Faisalabad in 2005, and later earned his bachelor’s degree from Government Islamia Degree College, Sangla Hill. His passion for learning did not stop there, he went on to complete his Master’s in Computer Science (MCS). Through his dedication and effort, Salman became the first software engineer of Ghartal Kalan, a proud achievement for both him and his village. His early years were filled with financial struggles, but he never lost hope. His self-taught knowledge opened the door to his professional success. Today, Mr. Salman Waheed works as a Technical Manager in one of the most reputed companies in Saudi Arabia. His work has earned him international recognition. In 2024, he was listed among the “40 Under 40 AV Professionals”, becoming the first Pakistani to receive this honor. He also received the Best Support Engineer Award and was interviewed by AV Magazine for his contributions to the audiovisual industry.

Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhary

Ghulam Mustafa Chaudary was born on April 1953. He began his early education at Government Primary School 144 R.B. on May 17, 1959. In 1964, he completed his primary education and was admitted to Salarwala High School. In 1969, he completed his matriculation with good marks. After completing his education, in 1971, he started his career at PAF Wah Cantt Sanjwal Attock as a Senior Store Keeper in the 9th scale. He worked there for eight years. After that, he went to Kuwait and spent five years there. Upon his return in 1987, he established Mian Waqas Cloth House, which has now become a well-known brand. Due to this, he is famously known as Ghulam Mustafa "Kapre Wala" (cloth merchant).

Dr. Safdar Ali was known for his compassion and generosity. He always helped the poor and deserving, often providing free medicines to those who could not afford them. The people of the village still remember how he spent his days and nights serving patients with love and patience. His clinic was not only a place for treatment but also a place where people found kindness, hope, and encouragement.

Abdul Sattar (late)

Abdul Sattar, son of Muhammad Ali, was born on October 1, 1963, in the village of Ghartal Kalan. He received his early education from 144 RB School and later completed his matriculation from Government High School Salarwala. In 1983, he started his professional career by joining WAPDA as an Assistant Line Man, with his first posting in Sargodha. Later, in 1995, he was transferred to the Chak Jhumra Division. From the beginning of his career, Abdul Sattar was known as a hardworking, honest, and kind-hearted man. He always treated his duty as a form of service, not just a job. During the later years of his service, he was assigned to bill recovery work, but his compassion always showed through. Whenever he found a poor or struggling person unable to pay their electricity bill, he would quietly pay it from his own pocket without expecting anything in return. This generosity made him deeply respected among his colleagues and the community alike.

Molvi Maqbool Sahib

Molvi Maqbool Sahib is one of the most respected and honorable personalities of village Ghartal Kalan. He has dedicated his entire life to the service of Islam, the spread of knowledge, and the welfare of humanity. He was born in 1951 in a religious and well-respected family of Ghartal Kalan. His childhood was spent in the simple and traditional village environment, where hard work, honesty, and a strong connection to religion were family values. He received his early education from Government High School Ghartal Kalan, which at that time was only a primary school. Later, he completed his matriculation from Government High School Salarwala. From the very beginning, he was known as a serious, hardworking, and well-mannered student. After matriculation, he took admission in Government Degree College Faisalabad in the science group (F.Sc). However, his grandfather wished for him to dedicate his life to Islamic education. Respecting his grandfather’s advice and guidance, Maqbool Sahib changed his field after completing almost three-fourths of his F.Sc studies. He then chose Islamic Studies as his main subject and successfully completed his F.A. in Islamic Studies. His interest in religious education grew stronger, and he went on to study the Tafseer of the Holy Quran with Urdu translation under the guidance of the well-known scholar Maulana Maqbool Mujahid Sahib (whose detailed biography is already published).

Allama Arif Ullah Sb

Allama Arif Ullah, son of Muhammad Abdullah was born in July 1965 in Ghartal Kalan. He received his early education from his village. At the age of only three, he suffered from paralysis, which affected his left leg, but his passion for learning never stopped. In 1977, he moved to Daska for religious studies and completed an eight-year “Dars-e-Nizami” course from Jamia Farooqia Daska. In 1983, his teacher, Maulana Abdul Sattar, was deeply impressed by his intelligence and fluency in Arabic and gave him the title of “Allama,” which became his identity. After completing his studies, he began teaching at a private school and later joined the Education Department as an Arabic teacher on November 4, 1987. He served in various schools and finally returned to his home village, teaching at Government High School Ghartal Kalan for 23 years with honesty and dedication. He was promoted to 16th grade, he took early retirement in 2018 due to weak eyesight and health issues. Allama Arif Ullah was known as a kind, hardworking, and sincere teacher who taught with love and patience. He used to give a daily Quran lesson during school assembly and was very punctual and disciplined.

Chaudhry Ghulam Rasool "Fauji"

Chaudhry Ghulam Rasool "Fauji" – A Great and Historic Figure of Ghartal Kalan Chaudhry Ghulam Rasool, also known as "Fauji Sahib," was a very respected, kind-hearted, and religious person from the village Ghartal Kalan (Chak No. 144 RB), District Faisalabad. He belonged to the Arain Jattala community. Allah blessed him with a long life, and he lived for 107 years. After living a full life, he passed away. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un. Even after his death, people speak of him with great respect and love. We pray that Allah grants him a high place in Paradise. Ameen. Fauji Sahib was also a brave soldier. In his youth, he fought in World War II and served in the British Army in countries like Burma, China, Egypt, and Sri Lanka. He was a true warrior who faced bullets with patience, courage, and loyalty. After the creation of Pakistan, he also served in the Pakistan Army and retired with honor.
